For over 30 years, Jim has worked closely with individuals, families and business owners assisting them with their real estate, wills, trusts, estate planning and estate administration needs.

In addition to Jim’s real estate and estate planning and administration work, he has also advised corporate clients on various issues including leases, commercial refinancing, re-organizations, negotiated buyouts and business succession planning.

Jim began his legal career as counsel for CIBC’s Information Technology Group and after entering private practice in Brampton and Caledon, he represented clients on various civil matters at all levels of court up to the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Jim’s early work as in-house counsel and as a commercial litigation lawyer, combined with his years of experience working with thousands of clients, provide him with a depth and breadth of legal expertise which few lawyers can match. Jim uses his expertise to guide and inform clients with their real estate, will, trusts, estate planning and estate administration needs.

Jim is a graduate of McMaster University and Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Jim has been an instructor at Sheridan College, Faculty of Continuing Education, teaching Business Law.

Outside of the office, Jim was a Big Brother through the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Peel. He was also very involved with coaching, managing, and assisting with both the Brampton Minor Hockey Association and the Brampton Canadettes Girls Hockey Association. Jim’s other volunteer work has included serving on the Board of Directors of both the Brampton Curling Club and Hospice Caledon. Since 2015, Jim has served his community as a volunteer firefighter with Caledon Fire and Emergency Services.
